The Scansonic HD MB10 10″ Subwoofer uses a class A/B amplifier instead of the commonly used Class D, plays a key role in the MB10’s natural and dynamic performance. This combined with a low mass 10” woofer, and an enclosure tuned to match the woofer, means we don’t use any frequency equalization circuits. The result is a subwoofer which sounds articulate and refined without any booming – blending e.ortlessly in to any high quality music system. While at the same time having the ability to rattle the room when watching a movie.

The MB10 Subwoofer is not only great in a home cinema setup, it also blends seamless into a good stereo system.

Scandinavian design and build quality
The Scansonic HD MB10 10″ Subwoofer, like the rest of the MB-B range, has a solid foundation in the Nordic design tradition. It is simple, sleek, and elegant unit with a solid carbon inlay in the top. Beautiful design with soft lines and edges, and with a port in the rear, the MB10 will perform as an integral part of the home cinema as well as looking good in the home.

Power and performance
Featuring a 10” driver and a 100-watt class A/B amplifier, this subwoofer will tonally match the rest of the MB-B speaker range, providing an authentic and explosive experience when watching a good movie or concert.

Class A/B was chosen over Class D for the built-in amplifier for it’s better sound. Also, this choice was made by the Scansonic team due to the efficiency of the driver, 100 watts in 8 ohms is more than plenty to deliver the slam to match the rest.

If your receiver does not have a dedicated subwoofer output, then you can connect to the Scansonic HD MB10 10″ Subwoofer via the speaker inputs, bypassing the built-in amplifier and instead, using the channels on your hi-fi amp.

In Denmark Scansonic HD have our factory with skilled craftsmen. They produce some of the finest loudspeakers in the industry under the brands Raidho and Scansonic (MB series). The craftsmanship makes sure that every detail and every situation is taken care of in a very competent manner.

THE PHILOSOPHY
Having worked with Raidho speakers for more than 12 years, wthe team found themselves faced with a completely new challenge when they were asked to design a new range of high-performance speakers for the Scansonic brand, such as the Scansonic HD L-8 Active Subwoofer. From the start, they were very focused on building on all the experiences and strengths obtained from designing the Raidho speakers. At the same time, they also had to be aware of the long heritage and the Nordic design tradition of the Scansonic brand.
