With the laser light source used in the JVC LX-NZ30B Home Theatre Projector in high power mode you will get up to 20,000 hours of viewing. The low latency in combination with the 1080p/240Hz input takes gaming on this projector to another level.
JVC is well known for their high-end D-ILA projectors. But those models are relatively big, heavy, and expensive, and they might not be practical for every room and budget. This LX-NZ30 is a smaller, more affordable design that uses Texas Instruments’ DLP technology and a bright laser light source to deliver crisp 4K images.
HDR expands overall picture contrast range with deeper blacks and brighter highlights. To reproduce the contrast range needed to display HDR, a projector must apply a “tone map” that adapts the content to match its capabilities. The LX-NZ30 uses JVC’s exceptional Auto Tone Mapping feature to ensure you get the best out of your HDR-enhanced content.
BLU-Escent technology is a type of laser light technology used in the JVC LX-NZ30 projector and other similar projectors. This technology uses blue laser diodes that illuminate a layer of yellow phosphor, ultimately creating the white light that is projected onto the screen. This provides higher brightness, more accurate color reproduction, and a longer lifespan than traditional lamp-based projectors.
This 4K projector offers an superbly detailed image with over 8 million individual pixels to create a sharp, beautiful picture on your screen. It utilizes the 0.47″ DMD chip and four-way e-shift to create the projected image.
The new JVC LX-NZ30 projects HDR content with sharp, higher-quality, dynamic images. In addition to HDR 10 used in the ULTRA HD Blu-ray format, the projector supports HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) used in broadcasting.
The laser light source controls the light output instantaneously, providing dynamic brightness adjustment with less delay compared to a mechanical aperture. By controlling the output of the laser according to the brightness of the scene, the JVC LX-NZ30 is able to produce fantastically deep black levels.
The new projector supports up to 1080P/240Hz input with latency as low as 6.25ms. This would make it one of the fastest gaming projectors available. This helps the JVC NZ30 deliver the absolute smoothest motion on the largest projection screens.
This bright, laser projector should be a top choice for the new Xbox and PS5 consoles.
We would have liked to see a 2.1 HDMI port for 4K/120Hz gaming, but even without it the LX-NZ30 is fantastic for gamers.
One of the great things about the 2023 JVC NZ30 is the ease of installation. The super bright light source makes it easier to deal with ambient light in well-lit rooms. So this projector isn’t relegated to a dark basement.
With a lens shift of ± 60 percent vertical, ± 23 percent horizontal, and 1.6X zoom for installation flexibility. The extensive geometric correction options make this projector even easier to install.
In addition to dual HDMI Inputs (HDCP 2.3, the LX-NZ30 offers a variety of new connectivity options:
The JVC projector’s compact size (15 7/8 inches wide, 13 1/16 inches deep) making it easier to install and gives it an extra level of portability. It also comes in two colors allowing you to pick the color that best matches your room’s aesthetic. The JVC LX-NZ30W which is white and the JVC LX-NZ30B which is black.
