The inner pair of the driver covers the midrange up to where the tweeter takes over and as you move out from the center the driver cowers more and more of the lower registries.

In the deepest bass the line array boast a total membrane area larger than a 12” driver, but still with the speed and agility of the smaller drivers. This makes the MB6 B have outstanding capabilities even in the deepest bass.

Ribbon tweeters for a super-detailed top end
Featuring high-end ribbon tweeters, the MB6-B captures the most subtle detail. With a top end response stretching right up to 40,000Hz, there’s less dynamic compression, which gives you smoother, more natural harmonics for a low distortion, lifelike sound.

Dual, carbon-coned woofers for natural mid-range
With its super-rigid, dual carbon-coned mid-woofers, the MB6-B delivers vanishingly low levels of distortion. The tapered cabinets are reinforced with not just internal bracing, but also a carbon insert top panel. This attention to detail ensures a remarkably ‘silent’ cabinet, letting you hear more of the music and less colouration from the cabinet.

Silk finishes
The smooth lines are enhanced by a choice of silk white or silk black finishes. For maximum stability, the speakers are fitted with outrigger feet, featuring adjustable, aluminium feet.

THE FACTORY
In Denmark Scansonic HD have our factory with skilled craftsmen. They produce some of the finest loudspeakers in the industry under the brands Raidho and Scansonic (MB series). The craftsmanship makes sure that every detail and every situation is taken care of in a very competent manner.

THE PHILOSOPHY
Having worked with Raidho speakers for more than 12 years, wthe team found themselves faced with a completely new challenge when they were asked to design a new range of high-performance speakers for the Scansonic brand, such as the Scansonic HD L-8 Active Subwoofer. From the start, they were very focused on building on all the experiences and strengths obtained from designing the Raidho speakers. At the same time, they also had to be aware of the long heritage and the Nordic design tradition of the Scansonic brand.
